“The greatest gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.”

-Maria Montessori

Maria Wyss, founder and lead teacher

I’ve had the privilege to work with several talented and inspiring educators in diverse settings as well as experience beautiful programs through the participation of my own children. From helping to establish a public Montessori school serving the Dine population, to accompanying my daughters to their forest school in the Alps of Switzerland to running an outdoor education program in the heart of SF, each setting was inspiring in its own way and shaped my view of what quality education looks like. Ultimately, leaving me with the realization that it takes on many forms while having the shared goal of helping children thrive in their environment. My hope is to take all the treasures I’ve collected and weave them into a program that supports a child’s sense of discovery, love for learning and compassion towards others.

I hold a Primary Montessori Certificate from the American Montessori Society and have worked with children from infancy to middle school. In my spare time I like exploring with my husband and 2 daughters, jogging with my pup mango, and visiting with friends.
